About Jim

Jim Lamping is an attorney specializing in estate planning, trust and probate administration, and litigation related to these areas. His practice is located in the Bay Area and Wine Country.

Jim is actively involved in analyzing, monitoring and drafting legislation that impacts the everyday practice of trusts and estates law in California. He served for six years on the Executive Committee for the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California, and is currently a member of the Resolutions Committee to the Conference of California Bar Associations. Mr. Lamping’s writings include chapters in California Trust Administration published by Continuing Education of the Bar, as well as numerous articles in California Trusts and Estates Quarterly. His seminars include presentations for Continuing Education of the Bar, the California Society of CPAs, and the Trusts and Estates Section of California.

Jim Lamping is certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he also earned an LL.M in Taxation.
